Game 1 V Taunton Dean CC

After a big English cooked breaky we took the bus into Taunton for our first game. Bertha took some of the group to Glastonbury Abbey, an ancient 10th century ruins, reportedly King Arthur and Queen Guinevere were buried there. King Henry the V111 pulled it apart in 1539......prick!
Anton Noble lost the toss and we bowled. Batting: Moffat 27, Dinsdale 36, Jones 43, Noble 22, Betts 1, Jackobson 15, J Whiting 8, Edwards 5, A Thewlis 2, M Whiting 1. Bowling: M Thompson 2/32, Godfrey 1/52, J Whiting 1/59, I Dinsdale 0/15, Michael Whiting 0/24, Noble 1/10, Jones 2/32 lost to Taunton Deane7/225 Wattlesprigs 8/185
Mug went to Rick Jones....well batted! and a special mention to mark Moffat for his keeping and batting......brilliant!
After the game we all went back to the motel. Some went down to the local pub and played a game of pub skittles with the locals.....clearly an exhibition sport at the next olympics! At least we had one win for the day! Game at Bridgetown tomorrow.
