Game 2 Bridgetown CC

Well what can you say....possibly the prettiest cricket grounds in the world. We were privileged to play here. After arriving we headed into the town to buy some lunch for the players. It took 1 hr for the sangas but they were quality....Beaker Thompson was handed the dummy by Mary-Anne Thompson for telling the sandwich hands to hurry up! A very soft handover but Mary-Anne was desperate to get rid of it after receiveing it the night prior for calling her husband Greg a very nice man! She said it nicely though!
The bus took some members to the county game Somerset V Yorshire. Justin Langer is the captain coach of Somerset!
Skipper Ranjie Oliver and his team fielded first. Bowling: Comerford 0/28, Godfrey 1/22, D Whelan 2/23, G Duns 2/26, Noy 0/14, Dinsdale 1/18, Jackson 1/5, G Whelan 1/18, Doyle 2/24.
Batting: Oliver 0 (1st duck on tour), Jackson 1, M Thompson 41, D Parker 51, Comerford 9, Smith 38, D Whelan 16, G Duns 11, Noy 5, G Whelan 0, Doyle 0.
Wattlesprigs 10/193 defeated Bridgetown 10/177. After the match we all went to the local pub for dinner. Fines were done on the bus and a beautiful painting of the Bridgetown ground was auctioned and purchased by Campbell Smith. Today was truely one of lifes great cricket experiences. Off to Sidmouth today.
