Game 3 V Sidmouth CC

After breakfast and a stroll into Taunton the group got on the bus and drove to the lovely seaside town of Sidmouth. This is another beautiful ground surrounded by deckchairs and ocean, with a double story 'thatched roof' pavillion. Dr. Greg Thompson skippered the team and did a brilliant job, but the highlight of the day belonged to Andrew Thompson who slayed 106 runs and a maiden century in a powerful display of hitting. He smashed his final ball into the croquet club almost 90 metres away.
Batting: G Cameron 23, Betts 18, Jones 47, A Thompson 106, G Thompson 20, Noble 19, Jackobson 26.
Bowling: M Thompson 1/36, A Thewlis 1/23, G Duns 0/18, Jones 1/19, Noble 3/15, Jackson 1/40, C Cameron 1/28, Jackobsen 0/19, G Thompson 1/12 Mug: Andrew Thompson
Final score: Wattlesprigs 4/238 beat Sidmouth 10/210

  2. Congratulations Andrew on scoring a ton, glad to see you emulating your uncle. Well done to Greg on his astute Captaincy & Matthew no doubt contributed as well. Also great to see that Maryanne, when exasperated, hasn't lost her ability to express her feelings towards Greg. We are following the blogsite everyday - great job. Go the Wattlesprigs!!
    Cheers
